Mini Challenge
I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I chose this image because at the end of the day Harry, Ron, and Hermoine are just kids, like this kitten. However the found the courage and inner strength inside of them to become bigger than what they are, in essence they found the lion inside all of them. This image represents what Harry Potter is trying to teach all the kids that read this book: inside everyone of us we are bigger than what we seem. We all have the courage to stand up to adversity, to stand up to the bully that is bigger than we are on the outside.
Mid Event Survey
1) How are you doing? Sleepy? Are your eyes tired? I a so hyped up on caffeine that I don't think its possible for me to be sleepy. Never give an ADHD person this much caffeine
2) What have you finished reading? I have read a mini bio on Warhol, Gone by Jonathan Kellerman, The X Files: Whirlwind by Charles Grant, and House and Philosophy by Blackwell Philosophy
3) What is your favorite read so far? My favorite read so far is House and Philosophy.
4) What about your favorite snacks? Smartpop White Cheddar Popcorn
5) Have you found any new blogs through the readathon? If so, give them some love! I have found a ton of new blogs, but I can't remember their URLs

Hour 11 Mini Challenge
I'm the one on the end. I tutor with Frontier College here in Canada, and as part of the program we have the opportunity to volunteer in the reading tents during events. I always sign up to do these because I love the joy of reading to a child and watching them discover a whole new world. Reading has always been a part of my life and I learned to read at a young age. Even though I knew how to read my mom always took an opportunity to read to me every day. This joy that comes from watching a child reading is unlike anything else.
Hour 10 Update- including mini challenge submission
Well it's been a long day already, but I'm halfway through book 4 (X Files- Whirlwind). It's been fun, and reading people's updates on Twitter has helped. For this mini challenge I created a bookmark.
Finished Books
Somehow I doubt I will keep up this pace all day. I finished the last 100 pages of Gone by Jonathan Kellerman (a serious must read for all mystery/thriller lovers) and then read a short bio on Andy Warhol (the Lifelines series pack a lot of info into a few pages)
Hour Three
Hour three is starting. So far I've finished the last hundred pages of Gone by Jonathan Kellerman, ate half of an awake bar, and read half of a mini bio on Andy Warhol.
